A square, clean-lined chair is a perfect fit for a modern stripe pattern. The precise stripes on this chair run from the seat, up the back, and continue onto the outside chair back. A solid rim of color frames the stripes, making a graphic design statement. In our example, the stripes were marked with painter's tape, then each section was spray painted. You can also paint freehand, following the line of the weave. After the stripes dry, brush on acrylic crafts paint using a lighter value of each stripes' color to highlight.
